Introduction
- The Disk has a small pin-hole in the center. As the inflated balloon is fixed onto it, the ir starts coming out from the pin-hole.
- The air is distributed evenly under the disk and a small film of air is created underneath. this reduces friction between the disk and smooth surface
- The disk starts moving freely on the surface. same principle is used in real Hovercraft. These vehicles have large fans which create air cussion under the vehicle and it is lifted above the surface.
- Such vehicles can travel at incredible speed as their friction is minimized.
- As it moves on the layer of air , it can move both the surface-land and water.
